Ponsonby has always been such a magnet for new places to eat and drink. Now ella, cafe & lounge has opened at 118 Ponsonby Road. The interior has had a complete new fit out and is inviting with its warm colors.

It is a great place for lunch with an extensive and inexpensive lunch menu, great for business lunches or just the casual lunch. On weekends we offer a different brunch menu with some interesting dishes such as fresh sardines on toast or mince on toast.

At night ella transforms somewhat into a beauty and is undoubtedly the prettiest and coziest cafe in Ponsonby and beyond with the lights dimmed right down and candles on every table. ella, cafe & lounge is a place with a casual yet elegant atmosphere. The sort of place you can pop into just after the gym for a quick bite with a glass of wine or for a romantic dinner. We only use free range pork for our famous pork belly and try to source organic produce whenever possible.

We kept our prices as affordable as possible because we know that you still like to enjoy a night out without breaking the bank

There is a very beautiful sexy lounge upstairs which can also be used for private functions or just to hang out and have a quiet glass of wine.

Lunch:     Wednesday to Friday from noon till about 2 p.m.
Dinner:    Tuesday to Saturday from 6 p.m. till about 10 p.m.
Brunch:   Saturday and Sunday from 10 till about 3 p.m.
