I ate there for the third time last night and as usual it was outstanding. I brought to friends from Europe and they were equally impressed. Friendly staff in a gorgeous warm atmosphere. And the food delicious as usual. They are doing a great thing there. I am very impressed.

I found Ella at Brunch to be incredibly delicious. The coffee was brilliant and I would suggest the Poached-Pear Pancakes with Canadian Maple Syrup. Not only was the food impeccable, but the staff were ever so hospitable and open. Their personalities matched the vibrant decor of the cafe and I really enjoyed talking about travel, as I am about to embark on a journey to South America, where I will be in Peru for a year. Kudos to you, Ella.

Wow, stumbled across a new place on Ponsonby Road called “ella”.
This site has been numerous different cafes in the past few years but it seems they got it right this time.
Its very inviting and cosy and has a beautiful athmosphere. Had a fantastic meal with two of my friends and the service is friendly and efficient. Feels a bit like eating at home with your friends. Keep it up guys. Good Luck. dawn
